We understand that plans can change, and we will always do our best to work with you. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your event.

When an event is booked, 5-B’s Catering reserves the date for your group and may turn away other catering opportunities. As the event approaches, we also purchase food and supplies, schedule employees, prepare equipment, and complete event-specific planning. Cancellation fees help cover these costs and commitments.

The following cancellation fees apply:

• Within 48 hours of the event: 100% of the contracted event total
• More than 48 hours but seven calendar days or less before the event: 75% of the contracted event total
• More than seven days but 14 calendar days or less before the event: 50% of the contracted event total
• More than 14 calendar days before the event: A small administrative and date-reservation fee may apply

All cancellations must be submitted in writing. The cancellation date will be the date on which written notice is received. Deposits and payments already received will be applied toward the applicable cancellation fee.

We are happy to explore rescheduling when possible. However, replacement dates are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Any transfer of deposits or payments to a new date must be approved by 5-B’s Catering.

Weather-related cancellations are subject to the same policy because staffing, food purchases, and event preparation often occur before the final forecast is known. For outdoor events, we strongly encourage having an indoor location or backup plan.
